Well we just made it back from a quick visit in San Antonio...my home town :)!!! Oh so beautiful!!! That is all I can say about the Texas Hill Country. Clay & I met up with the Farr family on Saturday and went to the First Annual Hot Chili & Salsa Festival at the Wildseed Farm in Stonewall. It was so nice. Later, Clay & I went to Fredericksburg to the one and only Rustlin' Rob's where YES, more SALSA... Clay was enjoying himself for sure :). For those of you who know me, know that I really don't do hot stuff. Although, I enjoyed my fill of Rustlin' Rob's sweet stuff.
It was so nice to be able to visit with family and a few friends. We are hoping to get back to town more often so we can see all of our wonderful dear friends. Until then, know I think of you all often.
Thanks to Julia's hostel for another wonderful stay :)!!!

November 2007 Russia Mission Trip Updates
Howdy all!
I just wanted to give you a few updates:
Prayer: My prayer team is getting started. If you would like to be a part of it, please let me know.
Funds: I am at $520.00 and will need to turn in $1500.00 by August 30. An additional $1500.00 is due on October 1st. I know the Lord will provide :)!
Dental & Medical: Done :)! Thanks to a sweet friend, My family practice doctor and his wife, and my Dentist I should have enough supplies for the November trip.
Fabrics: I am still collecting fabric. Fleece-300 yards in 1 yard cuts for boys and girls to make hats & vests. Flannel-100 yards in 2.5 yard cuts for boys and girls to make PJ pants.
Rompers: I'm still waiting to learn how to make these so I can teach some groups of ladies who are wanting to learn. I have plans to meet up with a sewing mentor next week. Once that happens, I'll make arrangements to teach you, if you would like to help out contact me.
Scrap book supplies: See link CASMI 2007 Team for details
Quilts & Coloring bags: No one has responded to help with these. If you know of any quilters, please pass along the need. Thanks!
Thank you for your support on this journey of mine!

CASMI
For those of you wondering, "CASMI" Come and Sew Ministries, International is the organization that I will be traveling with to Russia this November. CASMI is a not-for-profit ministry that provides sewing programs, while presenting the gospel to Russian orphans and their teacher. We will also be training the women in the Russian churches how to share their faith through simple sewing projects.

You can also check out www.comeandsew.org or casmi2007.blogspot.com for information.

Adopting our first baby!!!
Clay and I have made a decision to start the process of adopting a baby. We thought a lot about international adoption but in the end we made a choice to go with a domestic. At least this time around. We are so excited! We are still very early in the process, so we have not yet picked an agency.
I wanted nine but Clay said we should just start with one and see how it goes...
Wise man :).
